Pizza Bao: Pizza Style Chinese Steamed Buns

What do you do if you like pizza AND steamed buns? Pizza bao, of course!

INGREDIENTS

For the buns:

150 gr sourdough pizza dough (see recipe)

For the pizza topping:

6 slices of honey roast ham
3 pimento stuffed green olives
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1/4 mozzarella ball

6 silicone muffin cases

METHOD

Divide the pizza dough into 6 balls and place inside the muffin cases.
Place a bit of tomato sauce on each bun, then a slice of ham, then a piece of mozzarella and finish with an olive cut in half.

Put water in a steaming pot or bamboo steamer and get it to boiling point.

Put the buns in a steamer basket over the simmering water and steam for 15 minutes.
