Have you ever tried a Frankfurter-stuffed crust pizza? Iceland supermarket makes a decent one with a choice of toppings. I tried to make it at home and the results are pretty good.
INGREDIENTS
150 gr sourdough (see recipe)
2 Frankfurters
8 cherry tomatoes
1/2 mozzarella ball
2 tablespoons olive oil
Plain flour for dusting
1 pinch dried oregano
METHOD
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to make a large circle (about 40 cm diameter). Place the circle onto a lightly oiled baking tray. Cut the Frankfurters into two lengthwise and place them around the edge of the pizza circle. Fold the edges of the pizza over the hot dogs, sealing everything tightly.
Cut the cherry tomatoes into quarters and scatter over the centre of the pizza, then add the mozzarella cut into cubes, sprinkle with oregano and lightly drizzle with oil.
Pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius and bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes until crispy.
