On World Health Day (7th April) I was invited to give a walk and talk presentation about my book Strictly Walk Slimmer.
It was an excellent opportunity to meet new people and go out for a walk while discussing the health benefits of walking.
During a very pleasant stroll around St James’s Park, we talked about the importance of walking regularly for long term health, and also other related topics featured in my book:
Foraging
Nutrition
Stress management
We spotted some nettle and mahonia flowers and berries – I am looking forward to making mahonia berry jam in a few weeks’ time when the berries ripen.
We also all agreed on our love of elderflower cordial – so at the end of the walk we rewarded ourselves with a very fitting elderflower mojito from nearby cocktail bar Babbles.
As long as you have anything in moderation…
