Nothing stops the cow, not even a fire.
Back in November 2013, a fire broke out at Smiths of Spitalfields, in the heart of Spitalfields Market, just two months after opening.
From 16th June 2014, Smiths of Spitalfields reopens to the public and it has risen from its ashes with a fiery attitude.
Beef is still king, but so are the other delicious ingredients combined skillfully by the chefs (you can see them in action on the first floor).
The Loft, on the top floor, has a bright and airy feel and looks warm and welcoming. It sits between 38 and 50 people for any type of function (corporate, weddings etc).
At the re-launch party a group of lively bloggers sampled delicious canapes (tender squid with garlic, mini salt cod croquettes, mini burgers, mini pulled pork sandwiches) while sipping some chilled Prosecco.
A DJ played disco and soul classics on the ground floor (the ground floor is a cafe during the day, with casual dining in the evening with patio area facing Spitalfields Market), while a pianist entertained the guest in the basement bar, which can be hired out for private parties (you can bring your own DJ too!).
Smiths of Spitalfields is all about quality, carefully selected ingredients, skillful cooking and great entertainment. A great venue for watching the World Cup or any other major sporting event. Not a sports fan? There’s another three floors you can escape to, away from the big screen on the ground floor!
