What to do on a Friday night?
A friend and I had organised to go to Hackney Picturehouse so that was taken care of – the next item on the to-do list was food: where to go?
I must admit I didn’t realise there are so many eateries in Hackney. As I always do when I need some inspiration and ideas I took to twitter – within a few seconds I saw a recommendation from Skint London (I recommend their newsletter by the way; Skint London) for The London Fields E8. The London Fields is a “multi-purpose” venue: a bit art gallery, a bar, there’s DJs and there’s a pizza oven.
On Friday nights The London Fields has a 2 4 1 pizza offer so we jumped at the chance. We were very happy with our pizzas: very thin and crispy sourdough base and a variety of toppings. We chose the Bunga Bunga with salami, smoked scamorza and courgettes, which was very tasty indeed.
We will definitely be back for more pizza and music.
