I recently attended the Women in Business Coffee Club organised by the Islington Chamber of Commerce and Camden Women’s Forum.
These morning networking events for business women take place every third week of the month.
The Coffee Club is an interactive group for professional women who are building a network of contacts and want to share ideas and best practice.
At each meeting one business acts as a host of the event and gives a short talk; the venue changes each month and priority is given to existing Chamber members. However the meetings are open to non-members too.
The networking meeting I attended took place at the Canonbury bar and restaurant in Islington, which is a lovely venue with garden (and good coffee!).
Host for the event was The Islington Company, a property company specialising in sales and lettings. The co-founder of the company, Vaida Filmanaviciute, gave a speech about the importance of public speaking and events as a way to generate new business.
