Review: Holborn House (now closed)

Holborn needed a good club and Holborn House has delivered. I remember years ago when Browns was THE place to be, frequented by celebrities and attracting big name djs.

It seems that Holborn House is poised to inherit that crown as their line up is rather impressive: they recently hosted clubbing nights with DJ Luck and MC Neat, Wretch 32 and more.

I went last Saturday as part of my birthday celebrations: after a few emails backwards and forwards to finalise the arrangements, Holborn House kindly opened the club early to accommodate my booking.

I must say all staff members went out of their way to make my friends and I feel comfortable and looked after. Stefano, from Italy, made some exceptional cocktails and was professional and attentive.

The d├ęcor is elegant with a Japanese twist: we went upstairs to what I call the Japanese den with a screen and low seating.
