Thanks to Micol Brusaferro of Il Piccolo newspaper we had a lovely get together of people from Trieste who now live and work in London.
I was recommended Trattoria Semplice for our gathering and I must say this Italian restaurant delivered and exceeded expectations. Friendly and attentive service and freshly cooked dishes with menus changing every week.
The lively group from Trieste wasn’t even asked to leave the restaurant because of the noise, which was an achievement. What are the reasons for people to move to London? Finding work or being posted abroad because of work are the key drivers.
New friendships were born and existing friendships got stronger. An evening of bruschetta and beer can put the world to right.
