Review: Marie Reynolds’ Aromawax Candles

By Paola Bassanese

Cold winter nights… you crave warmth and comfort. It’s nice to come back to a cozy and inviting home full of fragrance so you can melt your worries away. The genius of Marie Reynolds’ Aromawax Candles is that as they melt they double up as a body butter. And a shimmery one at that. Once melted, the mix of soya wax, Argan oil and shea butter in the candle can also be added to sea salt or cane sugar to create a body scrub.

I was sent a Hot Toddy candle which blends spiced apple, nutmeg, cinnamom, mandarin, satsuma and peach scents. The smell is inviting and sensual, ideal for a seductive night in or in preparation for a glamorous night out: the subtle gold shimmer leaves a transparent sheen on the skin leaving it super soft and fragrant without any tacky shine.

The perfect Christmas stocking filler, this candle is all about winter holidays creating a festive atmosphere.
